Commercial Drain Cleaning

Commercial Sinks & Grease Traps
Commercial sinks are essential to any restaurant or food service. They are heavily used for food prep, washing trays, pots, pans and utensils. Most commercial kitchens have a grease trap to catch any waste that may go down the drain, prior to the water going out to the sewer line. Grease traps require regular maintenance, to avoid backup. They should be emptied every 1–3 months. So, if you have a clog, or need your grease trap cleaned, call Souhegan and we will send one of our trained technicians out to service or clean your grease trap.
Public Restrooms
Public Restrooms can have clogged pipes from too much toilet paper, baby wipes or flushing feminine hygiene products down the toilet, or the accumulation of hair going down the sink drain. Our technicians are prepared to deal with these types of clogs. In most cases they will use an electric snake with a metal cable that will enter the drain and break through the clog allowing water to flow freely again.

Office Buildings
Offices, Apartment Buildings, Hotels, or any building with multiple floors usually have a type of drain system called Stack Lines. This is where all individual drains from each floor flow into one long vertical pipe. When the drainpipe gets to the ground it has a bend and continues out to the city sewer. Due to the design of stack lines, they require regular maintenance to avoid clogs. When a clog occurs, it can affect multiple units, so call Souhegan right away and we will send one of our trained technicians right over.
Commercial Floor Drains
In some commercial buildings floor drains are in or near an area where the public has visibility. So when floor drains clog in a restaurant or business it can cause a disruption to business or become a safety issue. If they are located in a restaurant kitchen it can delay food prep, in a storage room it can cause damage to physical items in storage, or even run out to the public area. Since these floor drains go to the outside of the building tree roots can creep into the pipe and inside the building. Call us and we will send our technician out, 24/7, identify the issue and provide a solution.

Pumping & Disposal
In addition to grease traps some restaurants have grease tanks, which hold a much larger volume of grease than a grease trap, to keep the grease from entering the drainage system. This requires a septic truck to pump out large amounts of grease. Whether it’s monthly or semi-monthly, Souhegan can handle the pumping and removal of large volumes of grease and dispose of it properly plus handle any of your septic needs. We can also place you on a routine maintenance plan.
